AI TodoList for Gmail ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your data when you use the extension.

1. Information We Collect

To provide its core functionality, the extension requires access to certain information within your Gmail account:

• Website Content & Personal Communications: We read the subject lines, sender information, and email bodies of the emails currently loaded in your active Gmail tab. This data is extracted solely for the purpose of identifying actionable tasks.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Task Extraction: The email data we read is sent securely to our backend server, which forwards anonymized snippets to an AI service (Gemini) to determine if the email contains a task and to extract relevant details (title, priority, sender).
• Local Storage: The final extracted tasks, along with your extension settings (e.g., sidebar preferences, snooze times) and subscription status, are saved locally on your device using Chrome's secure chrome.storage.local API.

3. Data Protection and Sharing

We adhere to the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies regarding User Data. Specifically:

• No Selling of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
• Strictly Purpose-Driven: Your data is used exclusively for the single purpose of providing the task extraction and management features described above. It is not used for unrelated purposes such as tracking your browsing history or serving targeted advertisements.
• No Credit Assessment: Your data is never used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• Transient Processing: The email contents sent to our backend for AI processing are not permanently logged, stored, or retained after the task extraction process is complete.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the extension:

• Google Gemini AI: Used to intelligently parse email text and extract tasks. Only the necessary text snippets are processed.
• Razorpay & Lemon Squeezy: Used to process payments for the Pro subscription tier. We only verify the payment status using a unique Payment ID; we do not collect or store your financial details.

5. User Control

You retain full control over your data.

• You can delete tasks from the extension's sidebar at any time, which removes them from your local device storage.
• You can completely wipe all locally stored data (tasks and settings) by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension's data in your browser settings.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or relevant laws. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
